As part of this upgrade, the functionality of the content management system (Rich Text Editor - RTE) has been enhanced with slight changes to some of the icons / functionality eg: linking, image insertion etc.

Common functions (unchanged)

The common functions (unchanged) used in your website backend Administration Area Rich Text Editor (below) remain unchanged.  For example, bold, italics, underline, font type, size etc will be familiar to you within the Rich Text Editor (RTE).

1. Highlight text to bold, italic, underline and strikethrough
2. Highlight text to select the different styles, paragraph font type and font size.

Image insertion (enhanced)

We have substantially improved the method and options for image insertion.  Follow the steps below, to insert images, and edit image appearance.

1. Click on tool 'Insert / Edit Image'
2. Tabbed Style Interface for Image Inserting.
3. General Properties is to insert image file and preview the image file.
4. Insert the image.

Insert /Edit Image Appearance

1. Click on tool 'Insert / Edit Image'
2. Click on 'Appearance' Tab.
3. Align the image and set spacing and border.
4. Insert the image file.

Uploading files (enhanced)

The file upload icon has visually changed to that shown in the image highlighted at 1 below. Follow the steps below to insert files including embedding media (flash, video files, audio files etc) within your website.

1. Click on tool 'File Upload'
2. Browse any document ( e.g PDF file) and select the File type as PDF Files
3. Click Upload to insert the PDF File.

Insert /Edit Embedded Media

1. Click on tool 'Insert / Edit Embedded Media'
2. Tabbed Style Interface for Media Files
3. General Properties is to insert media files ( eg. flash file) and define the dimensions.
4. Insert the file.

Inserting hyperlinks (enhanced)

We have substantially improved the method and options for inserting external & internal hyperlinks in your website. Follow the steps below, to insert both external & internal links.

1. Highlight the text to be linked
2. Click on tool 'Insert/ Edit Link'

1. Complete field with URL address
2. Select open in this window or open new window
3. Insert the link

Inserting Internal Links

1. Highlight the text to be linked
2. Click on tool 'Insert/ Edit Link'

1. Click on 'Browse Internal Link'

1. Select section to be linked
2. Select article to be linked
3. Link Keyword or press 'Suggest' button
4. Complete Title field
5. Click OK

Removing Links/ Unlink

1. Highlight the link
2. Click on tool 'Unlink'

Inserting & editing tables (enhanced)

We have substantially improved the method and options for both initial insertion of tables, as well as the updating of existing tables that appear within your website's content. Follow the steps below, to insert and edit tables in the RTE.

1. Click on tool 'Insert/ Edit Table'

3. General Properties to customise Columns, Rows, Alignment, Border etc.
